Cleaning method
The purpose is to create a moderate gap on the outside of the hole opened for water collection in the pipe to promote the inflow of groundwater.
We would like to introduce the "Cleaning Method" of Hokuto Drill Co., Ltd. In the first process, water is ejected forward while probing the inside of the pipe with the nozzle, crushing deposits, cutting roots, and peeling off scales. The internal condition can be inferred from the measurements taken before cleaning and during this process, as crushed materials, cut roots, and scale fragments are discharged. Next, in the second process, water is ejected backward to discharge any remaining substances inside the pipe. The nozzle is rapidly brought to the bottom of the hole and retracted, completing the cleaning to eliminate harmful substances. In the third process, this method is not effective for all soil types. In cohesive soil mixed with gravel up to medium grain size, the discharge of recovered spring water continues for a while after cleaning, indicating its effectiveness. However, silt layers and sandy layers have smaller particle sizes, and materials like pumice expand, so excessive water application can lead to the inflow of unnecessary sediment. Washing away small sand from gravel layers can cause the gaps between the gravel to become clogged, resulting in pipe breakage or rupture due to flow and soil pressure. This process should be determined based on the soil type at the location and the discharged materials from inside the pipe, rather than theoretically. *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.
